Karen’s resourcefulness as an innovator and marketing strategist will delight growth-oriented businesses.
Her remarkable 30-year career in advertising took off in 1989 at RFD Publications in Kaneohe where she represented one of the nation’s largest group of military newspapers.
Working with Exchange systems and vendors at Hawaii’s major installations, Karen’s creative solutions led to highly effective campaigns, record results, and national awards.
As an advertising manager, she subsequently helped large and small firms create strong print advertising programs at MidWeek magazine before joining The Honolulu Advertiser in 2001.
At Gannett’s flagship newspaper, Karen’s exemplary work with national agencies was recognized in 2003 when she was honored with The Honolulu Advertiser’s Sales and Marketing Executive of the Year award.
A Honolulu native, Karen has performed in television commercials airing in both Hawaii and Japan. She joined the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee as an advertising manager in 2008, later serving as the Associate Publisher for southeastern Tennessee’s most popular regional monthly magazine, Chatter.
